Training

The formal IBIEM educational components are broken down into:

  • A two-week Boot Camp focused on strengthening IBIEM Trainees core-area competencies and teamwork development
  • Two consecutive Collaborative Science Practica (CSP) where IBIEM Trainees will work on team-based projects from various sectors
  • A recurring peer mentoring Interactive Seminar Course where IBIEM Trainees will receive continuous feedback on their graduate research

These formal training elements will be supplemented by skills workshops, an annual IBIEM symposium as well as a seminar series. In all of these activities, IBIEM Trainees will be exposed to multiple levels of interdisciplinary experiences to enable them to address issues of quantitative biology in the context of varying industrial sectors.
